How to install the DA97-15217B, step by step
- Open the freezer drawer and remove the ice bucket
- Locate the ice maker assembly mounted on the inside top of the freezer compartment
- If the assembly is frozen in place, thaw it with a hair dryer for 5 minutes (low setting)
- Disconnect the wire harness at the back of the assembly
- Remove the 2 to 3 mounting screws
- Pull the old assembly out toward you
- Slide the new assembly in, secure with the screws
- Reconnect the harness, replace the ice bucket, allow 24 hours to start producing ice
