How to install the EDR1RXD1, step by step

  1. Locate the filter (top right corner inside the fridge cabinet on most Whirlpool models)
  2. Twist the old filter counterclockwise about 90 degrees, it pops out
  3. Remove all plastic caps from the new filter (both ends)
  4. Insert the new filter and twist clockwise until it clicks
  5. Hold a glass under the dispenser and run 4 gallons through to flush carbon dust
  6. Press and hold the FILTER or RESET button on the dispenser for 3 seconds to clear the indicator
